Gianni Versace
Gianni Versace lived from 1946 until 1997. He learned to sew from his mother who was a tailor. When Gianni was twenty-six ears old he moved to Milan in the pressure of his fashion dream. Gianni was always a big fan of art. Even some of his designs are inspired by Greek and Roman sculptors and paintings. In 1972 Versace opened his first boutique start the launch into a successful fashion career. Versace clothes had the "80's Look" which was very colorful and represented power and appeal. Some of his best known dress were his siren dresses. Gianni was also well know for doing stage costumes for Elton John, Tina Turner, Madonna, and many other performers. Gianni had many accomplishments including a American Fashion Oscar and four L'Occhio D'Oros. Gianni wrote a few books including, The Art of Being You, Rock and Royalty, And Men Without Ties. In 1991 he launched his classic Signature line. Later in 1919 he launched his home Signature In 1981 Versace meet the love of his life Antonio D'Amico who was an Italian male model. The two of them were together for fiftteen happily until Versace was shot by a gay socail climber, Andrew Cunanan. After Gianni Versace's death his sister took over the buisness. Today, his empire is worth $807 million dollars.
